Welcome to the AECH Student Edition #2 event page! After our first successful student hackathon in 2021, we are working with students from various universities globally in making the next event an even better 'For Students By Students' hackathon.

This page will update and contain the essentials you need to have a great experience and a productive time learning, networking, and hacking! Make sure to check out our Frequently Asked Questions section on our main website for the basics and our event Code of Conduct.

IDEATION & TEAM FORMATION

Where to place things in Slack to get connected.

IDEAS

Put your project ideas in #ideas channel.

LOOKING FOR TEAM

If you are looking for a team to join, post your skills and interests in the #looking_for_team.

LOOKING FOR MEMBERS

If looking for potential team members with certain skills, use the #looking_for_members channel.

TEAM INTRODUCTIONS

Once your team is formed, place TEAM- before team name and description of project in #team_introductions channel so we know who you are!

TEAM & PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

Team Requirements

1. All teams must have at least one team member that is from a built environment profession.
2. All teams must check in with an AECH Mentor at the event or in our Slack channel after their team formation
3. All teams must have
- team and member names
- project description
- video of working solution (provide link to Youtube, Youku, etc.)
- link to app and or project's Github page

Project Requirements

1. Projects must be built environment related and look to solve a 'Monday thru Friday' problem.
2. Projects must be functioning applications to win a challenge. Teams that do not have a functioning application can still present their solution but will be ineligable to win.

Presentation Requirements

1. Presentations must be no longer than 8 minutes in length.
2. Presentations must include a video showing how the application works.
3. Presentations must include if application was built completely during event and/or leveraging prebuilt elements.
